The World Series in 2 towns

A few nights ago, Nick and I watched the World Series in a San Francisco pub, the Mucky Duck. The Giants won big time that night and it was great to be in the town of a huge sporting event like that. As we crossed the Bay Bridge that evening, I thought that this is the closest I have ever been to the World Series, and unless the Cubs make it one day, it might be the closest I ever get.

Anyway, it was fun to feel the excitement of the locals as their team won. Last night, we stopped in Pismo Beach (10 miles south of San Luis Obispo) to watch the last few innings of game 6. They turned out to be the best few innings to watch as the Angels came back from being down 5-0 to win and force a game 7 tonight. Since we were fairly close to LA, the folks down here were cheering for the Angels...

Nick's comment when they were all cheering..."I can only imagine how quiet it is in the Mucky Duck tonight."

2 cities, 2 points of view, and who will win tonight? For me, I don't really care so much as I want to see a good game...I suppose, I'll cheer for the SF Giants.
